Gallery 1 at PIQUE

Space and ideas frequently intersect in unexpected ways. In his second solo exhibition, Cincinnati artist and librarian Steve Kemple will use almost exclusively space and ideas to articulate several possibilities meditating on the idea of EVERYTHING.

About the artist
Steve Kemple is a very complex and interesting fellow. You will just have to meet him to understand. His work as a librarian and curator of the monthly Experimental Music at the Library performance series has been profiled in publications such as Cincinnati Magazine, CityBeat, Library Journal, Paste Magazine, and more. His work as a visual and performance artist is slightly more esoteric. Steve received his BFA in Fine Arts from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2007 and his Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) from Kent State University in 2012. He is currently the Artist In Residence for the national library advocacy political action committee EveryLibrary, where he has managed to persuade a vast number of librarians on several continents to do things like pretend they are in a submarine.
